Morningsong is a Brisbane-based community choir that meets every Friday morning from 9.30 until 11.30 at the Bulimba Senior Citizens' Hall,
1 Barramul St, Bulimba (cnr Stuart St).

We are an open, non-auditioned choir - all are welcome to come along and participate. Although non-denominational beautiful songs from many religions enter our repertoire.

The music we sing comes from a range of sources and includes songs in English and other languages. Words and (in some cases printed music) are provided but there is no requirement that singers be able to read music. We often learn songs by ear.

Our singing takes place in a supportive, comfortable and friendly atmosphere. The emphasis is on learning and enjoying music together.

We also learn to improvise where singers are encouraged to explore and add their own harmonies. This leads us into all sorts of mischief and mayhem but we have a lot of laughter along the journey. The challenges and achievements are richly rewarding.

The group was founded by Jane Becktel in 2009 and has grown from 8 singers to 40. At the beginning of 2011, Jane moved to New South Wales. Morningsong is now conducted by Nicole Murray.

We charge an attendance fee of $15 per casual session ($12 concession), with a discount for booking for an entire term.

Our terms vary in length throughout the year.

Our next term starts on Feb 5 and runs for 7 weeks until March 18, 2016.
