Jane Becktel - our Leader!
In her early work Jane worked as a music teacher in Adelaide for 4 years before moving to California ,just south of San Francisco, with her American husband. They have two children whom they homeschooled. The family choir Jane facilitated in California was a volunteer job for all homeschooling families and it was both a music and social event every week for over a decade. From 2006 Jane has worked for The Song Room, a philanthropic organisation dedicated to bringing music to many different kinds of communities. Jane currently works with The Song Room in the music programme at the Mater Children's Hospital Special School in Brisbane. She is passionate about sharing her love of harmony and enjoys showing singers of all levels of experience how easy and fulfilling it is.

Jane Becktel has a music degree, B.Mus.(Hons), University of Adelaide, Elder Conservatorium, and a Diploma in Education. She has taught big, medium and little people piano, theory, flute, composition for many years.
